Muddy Feet Flower Farm, an organically managed cut flower farm in Ashford, Ct., is hiring part-time and free-lance floral designer(s) for the 2016 season.

Part-time Floral Designer: Works under the tutelage of the head designer to cut, design and sell 200+ varieties of cut flowers. Responsibilities include: weekly bouquet making, wedding and event design and set-up, and deliveries. Some harvesting work possible. Photography, design/fine arts and social media skills a plus. Paid position. Wednesday hours and possibly Friday; 8-10 hrs/wk + additional hours for event design.

Freelance Floral Designers: Join muddy feet flower farm’s event and wedding design team. Assist in creating beautiful, farm-to-table floral designs for weddings and events. Freelancers will be booked on an as need basis.

All candidates must be independent, self-motivated, passionate, have access to transportation, be willing to work outside in all kinds of weather, and be able to lift 50 pounds. Ideal candidates have experience in organic flower farming and/or floral design.

Muddy Feet Flower Farm is Connecticut’s premier Farmer-Florist, growing over 200 varieties of seasonal cut flowers for weddings, farmers markets, retail, wholesale, and private events. We are a boutique family farm; small enough that our staff has an impact, but experienced enough that we have a lot to teach and share.  Our season runs from May – December, but we are willing to work with student schedules and shorter season contracts.

My wife and I are both from the South (GA and SC), and we wanted a true southern wedding. We couldn't have picked a better place! The food and service at the wedding venues are superb. This is the closest as I've found since moving.
